The film directed by Dan Chi\u0219u<\/strong> it was, without a doubt, one of the most challenging projects in my career so far. It all started spontaneously, at a time when I had just finished classes and preparations for the baccalaureate. I remember the first meeting with Dan perfectly \u2013 I was excited and full of hope, knowing how much I admired his work. I desperately wanted to be part of the project, but right from the start, he told me frankly: \u201eIt won't be easy for you. If you really want the role, you'll have to prove to me that you deserve it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

At first, this approach overwhelmed me, but that's precisely what motivated me. I really wanted to be in the film, not just because I was working with top professionals, but also because the subject matter was powerful and relevant: The impact of artificial intelligence on art, film, and actors<\/strong>. The role I was going to audition for was that of a \u201enerdy\u201d teenager, a genius in IT and AI \u2013 a character very different from me, which attracted me even more.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

An audition full of tests and surprises<\/mark><\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The casting process was intense. Dan told me from the first moment that he would test me, and he kept his word. I chose to prepare a powerful, risky monologue, but one that I felt could reveal my artistic side. The day before the audition, the film's co-producer called me and told me that Dan had a \u201esurprise\u201d ready for me. That phone call kept me awake all night, wondering what kind of test it would be.<\/p>

I found out during the audition: while I was performing my monologue, Dan's phone started ringing insistently. It was intentional. He wanted to see how I would react, whether I'd get distracted or remain in character. I continued, completely absorbed in the scene, without noticing. Afterwards, he confessed that he wanted to see if I could convey that specific nervousness and aggression of the character. It seems I passed the test.<\/p>

What's more, she asked me to repeat the monologue, but in a much more natural way: \u201eas if I were talking to myself, not to the audience,\u201d and even to do it while pretending to wash dishes. It was an exercise that changed my perspective, clearly showing me the difference between stage theatre and film.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Preparation and rehearsals \u2013 the key to success<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

After the news that I had been given the role, I threw myself into the character development process with full energy. I received support from the team on all fronts \u2013 script, costumes, technical details. The multiple rehearsals before filming proved extremely valuable, as they eliminated uncertainties and created a flawless workflow.<\/p>

Although it was for a film and not a play, these rehearsals were fundamental for me. They helped me to fix my lines, understand the character's dynamic, and work much more relaxed on set.<\/p>

The day of filming \u2013 between the ferry and the film<\/h2>

Filming took place just a week before the first matriculation exam. It was a period where I juggled the script and my textbooks, but discipline helped me stay focused. The first scene was filmed quickly, precisely because of the rehearsals. Dan wanted me to have variations in each take, to capture different nuances of the character.<\/p>

The real challenge came during the scene where I had to use sign language. I\u2019d only learned it five minutes before. The pressure was immense, as we were aiming for authenticity. The scene was long and dynamic, which made things even more difficult. Nevertheless, it was a moment that enriched me enormously as an actress.<\/p>

Lessons and memories<\/h2>

Looking back, this experience was a mix of stress, excitement, and joy. Dan Chi\u0219u didn't just challenge me during the casting, but throughout the entire project, forcing me out of my comfort zone and to grow as an actress. I learned essential lessons about discipline, focus, and how to adapt to the demands of filmmaking.<\/p>

For me, this film remains not only a professional project but also a stage of personal growth.
